From
her childhood summers growing up on Cape Cod to her teenage years as a
lifeguard, Kathleen's favorite memories are of times spent in a
swimsuit. Kathleen learned to sew from her mother at age 10 and her
early interest in fashion led her to New York City and Paris to study
fashion design at Parsons School of Design.
After graduation Kathleen joined Nike, where she created tennis apparel
for professional athletes, developing a talent for function and
performance. She went on to launch the intimate apparel collection at
Abercrombie and Fitch, refining her knowledge of garment engineering
and fit. Most recently, Kathleen served as design director for Banana
Republic's knits, intimates and swim collections.
With the launch of Kathleen Cook Swim, Kathleen returns to her roots
with a collection of timeless swim and resort wear. Classic and
feminine, sophisticated and sexy, the collection combines Kathleen's
love for fashion and the relaxed beach lifestyle.
Kathleen lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. An avid road
cyclist
and snowboarder, she has a passion for the outdoors and lives for lazy
summer days at the beach.
